Marianne Macdonald

Canadian author. Born in Kenora, Ontario in 1934. She had her first children's book published when she was just 16, then went on to study at McGill and Oxford Universities and pursue an academic career in both Canada and England. After a number of years she returned once more to her early love of writing. She has since written a few children's novels, but is best known for her adult mystery series featuring book dealer Dido Hoare.

She has I think only written one pony story, a children's adventure set in Canada which is quite hard to find.
